[ About this Program ]
FloppyBootCD — Turns boot floppy images into bootable CDs.
FloppyBootCD takes a floppy image (.img, .ima, .vfd, .flp,
or WinImage .imz) and emits a bootable ISO. The trick is xorriso
doing the El Torito work; this just gives you a friendlier front end
and bundles a known-good xorriso build so you don't have to chase
down dependencies.
- Drop in your floppy image
- Pick the output ISO name
- Burn the ISO to a CD-R, or attach it to a VM
Useful when you have a piece of 90s hardware that boots from CD but no longer has a working floppy drive, which is most of them by now.
